Reset your account password

Learn how to set a new password for your Mintel or Comperemedia account.

Sometimes it's necessary to reset the password for your Mintel/Comperemedia account. Maybe you just want a new password for security reasons, or maybe you forgot your password. Regardless of the reason, this article shows you how to change your password.

πŸ“Œ Note: The instructions in this article only apply if you created a Mintel or Comperemedia profile with a password. If you access our pages via SSO, including Shibboleth, you'll need to change the password in your organisation's system instead.


Change your password while logged in to your account

When you still know your password and would like to set up a new one, follow these quick steps while being logged in to Mintel/Comperemedia.

First, click here to get to our password reset page. Once you're on that page, enter your old password, and then enter and confirm your new password. Click on Submit password to finish your password update.

You can now continue browsing Mintel. Next time you visit our pages, log in with your new password.

Reset your password when you have forgotten your old one

On the second step of the log-in process - after putting in your email address - you'll be prompted for your password. In case you forgot the password you use to log into your account, follow the steps below to set up a new one.

Click on Forgot password below the the field where you can enter your password.

This will redirect you to a new page where you can request an email with a password reset link. Your email address should already be pre-filled. In case it isn't, just type in your email address and then click on Email me a recovery link.

πŸ“Œ Note: We're sending you a recovery email as a safety precaution. This helps to ensure nobody else can access your account just because they know your email address.

Once you have received the email, click the Reset your password button in it to be redirected back to our website.

Enter a new password there, confirm it, and then click on Reset password.

You'll get a message confirming your new password has been set. Click on Log in and then enter your email address and the new password on the log-in page.
